2:26 The king then told Abiathar the priest, “Go back to your property ¹  in Anathoth. You deserve to die, ²  but today I will not kill you because you did carry the ark of the sovereign Lord before my father David and you suffered with my father through all his difficult times.” ³

8:25 Now, O Lord, God of Israel, keep the promise you made to your servant, my father David, when you said, ‘You will never fail to have a successor ruling before me on the throne of Israel, ⁴  provided that your descendants watch their step and serve me as you have done.’ ⁵

20:28 The prophet ⁶  visited the king of Israel and said, “This is what the Lord says: ‘Because the Syrians said, “The Lord is a god of the mountains and not a god of the valleys,” I will hand over to you this entire huge army. ⁷  Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”

22:8 The king of Israel answered Jehoshaphat, “There is still one man through whom we can seek the Lord’s will. ⁸  But I despise ⁹  him because he does not prophesy prosperity for me, but disaster. His name is Micaiah son of Imlah. ¹⁰  Jehoshaphat said, “The king should not say such things.”
